Providing A Safe Massage Environment

Our community has certainly been through a lot over the last year and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  We know for many of you that therapeutic massage IS essential to your well-being. Due to the nature of our “indoor public setting” we will continue to require face masks to be worn by our staff and our clients until further notice. Disposable masks are available upon request. We appreciate your cooperation in light of the current conditions.

Below are some of the new policies and protocols we’ve implemented in accordance with health department guidelines. We know change is often difficult, and we appreciate your understanding as we all work to navigate these new waters.

New Policies & Protocols

Appointment times will now be the industry standard of 50-minutes and 80-minutesin order to leave additional time between clients to thoroughly clean and sanitize the massage tables, face rests, and all surfaces.

Appointment times will be staggered to limit close contact between staff and clients. Seating will be limited to 3 people in the waiting room to provide proper social distancing. We have a lovely seating area on the front porch for our guests as well.

Staff will be required to conduct temperature checks prior to arriving for work.All of our staff will be wearing protective masks and aprons that will be changed for every massage. Gloves will be worn when providing massage to the face. In addition, we will be requiring clients to wear their own personal facial coverings until the start of their massage, and when they turn face up on the table.

Bandanas will not be allowed as they do not provide adequate protection and they allow air to flow out from beneath the covering.We can provide you with a mask if you only have a bandana.

All clients will be required to fill out an addendum to our standard waiver, as well as a Covid-19 screening questionnaire.

Cancellation fees will be waived when the appointment is cancelled due to illness.

We have implemented a 30-minute cleaning schedule in addition to the regular room sanitation between massage appointments. We are using EPA-approved cleaning agents.

Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available throughout the facility to clients and staff.

Paper cups are provided for water. We encourage clients to bring their own water bottles, which we are happy to re-fill.

Our staff has completed a mandatory training on our new safety protocols.

We have suspended same-room Couples Massages until it is safe for therapists to work in close proximity to each other.

We have suspended the Face Rejuvenation add-on until we feel it is safe to work on the client’s face without gloves.
